Christmas Online Games and eCards: Two Gifts for the Price of One
December 15, 2006
One of my favorite fun things to do during the Christmas is to slack off every now and then and play Christmas online games. Whether it’s the old Elf Bowling game from a few years ago, holiday trivia games, or other Christmas games, they are a great stress-reliever during a busy work day.
How does this relate to eCards? Well, Blue Mountain now has a variety of Christmas online games that also double as eCards that you can send to other people during the holidays. They are all Flash-based, pretty interactive and are very entertaining. Here are a few that I recommend:

Elf Toss Game: This is one of Blue Mountain’s newest Christmas online games and it may be their best one yet. The object of the game is to see how far you can have a team of two elves launch a third elf across a frozen pond. You control the action simply by using your space bar and your final score is the average of your attempts. To get a good throw, let your elves build up speed running first before you hit the space bar to hurl Santa’s little helper.

Gingerbread Hangman Word Puzzle: Try to figure out the holiday word in this online hangman puzzle before the cute gingerbread man gets devoured (his looks and sounds of anguish and pain kill me…it’s actually more fun to throw the game and watch him get eaten up!)

Mistletoe Tag: Looking to get lucky? Try this fun Christmas online game where you try to click on, err kiss as many people as you can under the mistletoe in a minute. The more you kiss, the higher your score. However, watch out for Scrooge–if you plant one on him, you’re losing points!

Santa’s Snow Run: Who knew Santa Claus was into extreme sports? Use your mouse to move Santa down a steep hill on his snowboard. Clicking the mouse allows him to jump moguls and do some sweet tricks.

Christmas Matchup: It’s hard to find Christmas games online for little kids, but this one featuring the cast of 101 Dalmatians is fun for anyone. The object is to match pictures of the dalmatians to reveal a Christmas message.

Catch a Snowflake Game: Everyone likes catching snowflakes on their tongue, and it’s easy to do in this game. Just use your mouse to move your guy left and right on your screen as the snowflakes tumble down.

The Greet Santa Game: This game is a fast-paced scramble as you try to snatch Christmas presents from Santa, Frosty and Rudolph. If you can get 20 gifts within the time limit, you move on to the next level.
These eCards are all great Christmas online games that you can share with your friends, coworkers and family. You can also play them yourself before you send them out!

Thanks for the links. This is a great idea on BlueMountain’s part. I’m off to try a few games.

Christmas online games are pretty cool if you find the right site. This blog sucked me right in and the first game I noticed was the Elf Toss
